NITI FTH, CII, and AICTE Unveil Dx-EDGE to Drive MSME Digital Transformation.

In March 2025, the NITI Frontier Tech Hub (NITI-FTH) of NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India), in collaboration with the New Delhi-based Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) and the New Delhi-based All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the Ministry of Education (MoE), launched the Digital Excellence for Growth and Enterprise (Dx-EDGE) initiative.

  • - The initiative aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with digital tools, knowledge, and ecosystems to enhance efficiency, revenue, and global competitiveness.
  • - The Dx-EDGE initiative is led by CII, with support from NITI FTH and AICTE.
  • - It helps MSMEs overcome challenges related to technology, workforce, and certification by linking academia with industry, offering hands-on training, and facilitating global market access through digital certifications.

  • (i) Centers of Digital Excellence will be established by CII across the country to assist MSMEs in adopting customized digital solutions.
  • (ii) Skill Development and Industry Collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic institutions and industry needs by creating a skilled technical workforce and fostering innovation.
  • (iii) NITI Frontier Tech Hub (NITI-FTH) was launched by NITI Aayog on March 5, 2025. It functions as a frontier tech action tank, driving advanced technological innovations to support India's economic and social growth.
