In March 2025, New Delhi (Delhi)-based Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), an inter-services organization under the Ministry of Defence (MoD), and Bengaluru (Karnataka)-based National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), operating under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance mental health care support for military personnel and their families.
