- The day is also recognized by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) as the International Day of La Francophonie or International Francophonie Day.
- Francophonie" refers to the global community of individuals who share French as a common language.

(ii) The theme emphasizes the importance of providing equitable access to quality education for all, especially in a world shaped by rapid technological advancements.
