India Becomes Top Source of FDI into Dubai with USD 3 Billion Investment.

According to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, India has become the largest source country for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Dubai, contributing USD 3.018 billion in 2024, a significant rise from USD 589 million in 2023.


      - India accounted for 21.5% of Dubai's total FDI inflow in 2024, followed by the USA (13.7%), France (11%), the UK (10%), and Switzerland (6.9%).

      - Dubai attracted AED 52.3 billion (USD 14.24 billion) in FDI in 2024, marking a 33.2% increase from AED 39.26 billion (USD 10.69 billion) in 2023, the highest since 2020.

      - Dubai saw a record 1,117 Greenfield FDI projects in 2024, the highest in its history, contributing to the total 1,826 FDI projects announced in the year.

Main Point :-   (i) The top 5 countries by announced FDI projects in Dubai in 2024 were the UK (17%), India (15%), the USA (14%), France (4.5%), and Italy (4%).

      (ii) In 2024, India’s total FDI investment in Dubai reached nearly USD 2.013 billion, with 275 announced projects, up from 249 in 2023.

(iii) While 73.5% of India's FDI was in Greenfield projects in 2024 (the same as 2023), reinvestment FDI projects saw a rise from 1.2% in 2023 to 3.3% in 2024.
