India and Cambodia Hold 3rd Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) to Enhance Cooperation in Health and Digital Technology.

On March 10, 2025, India and Cambodia held the 3rd Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in Siem Reap, Cambodia, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors, particularly health and digital technologies. The discussions covered political cooperation, trade, defense, development assistance, heritage conservation, consular matters, and regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.


      - The Indian delegation was led by Jaideep Mazumdar, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India (GoI).

      - The Cambodian delegation was headed by Dr. UN Kheang, Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Cambodia.

      - Cambodia is a key partner in India’s Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific vision. Both nations emphasized their strong ties within the Global South, reaffirming their commitment to expanding diplomatic and economic collaboration. They also agreed to hold the next FOC at a mutually convenient date to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Main Point :-   (i) As part of the visit, both leaders explored key cultural and heritage sites, including the Asian Traditional Textile Museum (Cambodia), which was established in April 2014 with Indian support under the Mekong Ganga Cooperation (MGC) initiative.

      (ii) Ta Prohm Temple (Cambodia) – A UNESCO World Heritage site, where India plays a crucial role in restoration and conservation efforts.
