In March 2025, Knight Frank, a global property consultant firm based in London (UK), released the 19th edition of The Wealth Report 2025. According to the report, India ranks 4th globally with an estimated 85,698 High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) in 2024, marking a 6% increase compared to 80,686 HNWIs in 2023. This means India is home to 3.7% of the world's wealthy individuals.

  • - The United States (USA) with 905,413 HNWIs emerged as the top wealth creator globally in 2024, followed by China (471,634 HNWIs) and Japan (122,119 HNWIs).
