Delhi Airport Ranks 8th in World's Busiest Airports of 2025, Reports OAG.

In February 2025, Luton (United Kingdom, UK)-based air consultancy firm Official Airline Guide (OAG) released its latest report titled "World's Busiest Airports in 2025." According to the report, Delhi Airport (DEL), officially named Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi, ranked 8th among the top 10 busiest airports globally as of February 2025.
- Delhi Airport (DEL) registered the highest capacity growth in February 2025 compared to February 2024, with the number of seats increasing by 3.4% to 3.6 million seats.
Main Point :- (i) Dubai International Airport (DXB) remained the busiest airport in the world, with 4.8 million seats, reflecting a 1% increase in capacity compared to February 2024.
(ii) Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) in the USA held the second spot, with 4.6 million seats, marking a 2% increase in capacity over the previous year
(iii) London Heathrow Airport (LHR) retained its position as Europe's busiest airport, ranking 5th globally in 2025 with 3.85 million seats.
