The 17th edition of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the 8th edition of the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) were held from February 17 to 21, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

🎯 Key Highlights:

  • - These events were held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
  • - The events were organized by the ADNEC Group in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council (UAE).
  • - The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Shoor, an advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel, showcased India's maritime strength at NAVDEX 2025.

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL), based in Goa, presented its locally designed Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) and Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) at NAVDEX 2025.
  • (ii) Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), based in Hyderabad, introduced its indigenously developed Light Armoured Multi-role Vehicle (LAMV), which meets NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) standards, at IDEX 2025.
  • (iii) The 18th edition of IDEX will be held from January 25 to 29, 2027, at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.
