Military Exercise 'Jal-Thal-Raksha 2025' Conducted in Gujarat to Strengthen Coastal Security.

On February 16, 2025, the Indian Army (IA) conducted a large-scale military exercise, 'Jal-Thal-Raksha 2025,' at Bet Dwarka, Gujarat. The primary objective was to strengthen security in Dwarka and its surrounding islands, addressing recent illegal encroachments.


      - The exercise saw participation from 11 Ahmedabad and 31 Jamnagar Army units, along with the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Marine Police.

      - The exercise aimed to enhance coordination between government departments, paramilitary forces, and defense forces during emergencies such as terrorist attacks or wartime situations.

     

Main Point :-   (i) During the exercise, security personnel were deployed to the coast via hovercraft. The exercise simulated securing critical infrastructure and responding to potential land-based threats, enhancing overall preparedness.

      (ii) The District Administration of Devbhoomi Dwarka, along with the Forest Department, Maritime Board of Gujarat Energy, and National Security Guard (NSG), supervised the operations, ensuring smooth coordination and effective response strategies.
