In February 2025, NTPC Limited (previously known as National Thermal Power Corporation Limited), an Indian 'Maharatna' Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Power (MoP), was awarded the Forward Faster Sustainability Award 2025 in the 'Water Resilience' category. This recognition is for NTPC's outstanding efforts in water conservation and sustainable water management.
