In February 2025, New Delhi (Delhi)-based NTPC Limited (formerly National Thermal Power Corporation), under the Ministry of Power (MoP), signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Indian Army (IA).

  • - The agreement facilitates the sale of 200 kilowatts (kW) of renewable energy round-the-clock (RE-RTC) from a solar-hydrogen-based microgrid at Chushul, Ladakh, to off-grid Army locations.
