The United Nations (UN) observes the International Day of Clean Energy every year on 26th January to promote awareness and inspire action towards a fair and inclusive shift to clean energy, benefiting both individuals and the planet.
- The 2nd International Day of Clean Energy will be observed on 26th January 2025.
Main Point :- (i) On January 26, 2023, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared the International Day of Clean Energy through resolution A/77/327, recognizing the need to accelerate the global transition to clean and sustainable energy.
(ii) The inaugural International Day of Clean Energy was celebrated on 26th January 2024.
