In January 2025, Manchester United legend and Ballon d'Or winner Denis Law passed away at the age of 84 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Born on 24 February 1940 in Aberdeen, he remains an iconic figure in football history.


      - He is the only Scottish player to win both the Ballon d'Or and the European Player of the Year awards, achieving this milestone in 1964. Known affectionately as "The King," "The Lawman," and part of Manchester United's "Holy Trinity," he left an indelible mark on the game.

     

     

Main Point :-   (i) Denis Law began his professional career in 1956 with Huddersfield Town and rose to fame during his tenure at Manchester United.

      (ii) During his 11-year stint with Manchester United, he won two league titles (1965 and 1967) and the European Cup in 1968.

(iii) Scoring 237 goals in 404 appearances, he is the club's third-highest goalscorer, trailing only Wayne Rooney (253) and Sir Bobby Charlton (245).
