In January 2025, GlobalData Plc, a London-based data analytics and research company, released its report on the Top 25 Global Banks by Market Capitalization for Q4 2024. The report revealed that JPMorgan Chase & Co, based in New York, USA, remains the largest bank globally by market capitalization, reaching USD 674.9 billion by the end of Q4 2024, reflecting a 37.2% increase from Q4 2023.


      - Bank of America Corporation (BAC), USA-based, secured the 2nd position with a market cap of USD 337.2 billion, while China’s Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) ranked 3rd with USD 328.2 billion.

      - Q4 2024 refers to the fourth quarter of the year 2024, which covers the period from October 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. It is the last three-month segment (quarter) of the calendar year, commonly used in financial and business reporting.

     

Main Point :-   In the Q4 2024 report, India's HDFC Bank Limited fell from 7th to 13th position compared to Q4 2023, ICICI Bank Limited moved up one position from 20th to 19th, and State Bank of India (SBI) maintained its 24th position.
