BHEL and ONGC Sign MoU to Collaborate on New and Renewable Energy Projects.

In January 2025, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a leading Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) based in New Delhi, and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a 'Maharatna' CPSE also based in New Delhi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore collaboration in the New and Renewable Energy (NRE) sector.


      - The MoU outlines that this strategic partnership will focus on key areas of NRE such as fuel cell, electrolyser, and battery energy storage system projects.

     

     

Main Point :-   (i) Both public sector entities will combine their strengths to promote innovations in the clean energy ecosystem and support India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).

      (ii) This partnership is a significant step toward aligning India’s renewable energy targets and advancing the adoption of clean energy solutions.
