Delhi CM Inaugurates India’s First Underground Shooting Range for NCC Cadets in New Delhi.

In November 2024, Atishi Marlena Singh, Chief Minister (CM) of Delhi, inaugurated India’s first underground shooting range for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at the NCC Bhawan in Rohini, New Delhi.


      - The facility represents a major step forward in providing NCC cadets with world-class training resources to develop their skills and abilities.

      - The National Cadet Corps (NCC), established in 1948, is dedicated to developing disciplined, skilled, and motivated youth with strong leadership qualities and a sense of national service.

     

Main Point :-   (i) The underground shooting range features a 25-meter firing range, six firing lanes, bulletproof ceilings, and an electronic target control system, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted training with maximum safety.

      (ii) It includes advanced capabilities such as night firing with focused lighting, an automatic steel bullet trap system, and software for target control, supporting training with various small arms.

(iii) The facility complements the upcoming shooting range at a Government school in Kalkaji, highlighting efforts to provide accessible and high-quality training for young NCC cadets.
