Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has launched a One VEGA-based SoC and two DIR V VEGA processor-based development boards in Maharashtra.

In January 2025, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) launched one VEGA-based System on Chip (SoC) named THEJAS64 and two DIR V VEGA processor-based development boards, ARIES ECO and ARIES NOVA.


      - The event took place at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) campus in Pune, Maharashtra.

      - These products were designed and developed by C-DAC as part of the Government of India's (GoI) Digital India RISC-V Microprocessor (DIR-V) program.

     

Main Point :-   During the event, the Union Minister emphasized that computing and technological advancements are key to India becoming a developed nation by 2047.
