"India's GDP Projected to Grow by 6.4% in FY25 According to NSO's First Advanced Estimates".

On January 07, 2025, the National Statistics Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), released the First Advanced Estimate (FAE) of India's Annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the Financial Year 2024-25 (FY25), along with its expenditure components at Constant (2011-12) and Current Prices.


      - As per the NSO data, India's Real GDP is expected to grow at a 4-year low of 6.4% in FY25, compared to 8.2% in the Provisional Estimate (PE) for FY24.

     

     

Main Point :-   (i) Nominal GDP or GDP at Current Prices in FY25 is estimated at Rs 324.11 lakh crore, up from Rs 295.36 lakh crore in FY24, showing a growth rate of 9.7%.

      (ii) Real Gross Value Added (GVA) grew by 6.4% in FY25, compared to 7.2% in FY24, with an estimated increase from Rs 158.74 lakh crore (PE for FY24) to Rs 168.91 lakh crore in FY25.
