GEAPP partners with ISA to drive India's green energy future.

International

On January 7, 2025, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) teamed up with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) to launch three important initiatives aimed at advancing India's renewable energy sector. These initiatives include the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF), Digitalization of Utilities for Energy Transition (DUET), and Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge 2.0 (ENTICE 2.0).

      - These partnerships will help India achieve its ambitious goal of generating 500 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy by 2030.

      - GEAPP has strengthened its relationship with ISA by signing the MDTF, with a target of raising USD 100 million to support solar energy projects in India.

      - The DUET program aims to modernize India's power grid systems. It focuses on creating a digital database for grid assets, including their locations and specifications.
