Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates and lays the foundation stone for infrastructure and metro expansion projects worth Rs 12,200 crore in Delhi.

On January 5, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 12,200 crore in Delhi, which include metro expansions and infrastructure upgrades.


      - These projects are aimed at improving regional connectivity and providing more convenient travel options for the public.

      - PM Modi inaugurated the 13-kilometer stretch of the Namo Bharat corridor, connecting Sahibabad in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi, at a cost of around Rs 4,600 crore.

     

Main Point :-   (i) The Prime Minister also inaugurated the 2.8-km Janakpuri-Krishna Park stretch of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, valued at Rs 1,200 crore.

      (ii) He laid the foundation stone for the 26.5-km Rithala-Kundli section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, costing Rs 6,230 crore.

(iii) PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for a modern campus of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi, at a cost of Rs 185 crore.
