Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Ministry of Education (MoE), launched "The TeacherApp," an innovative digital platform aimed at transforming education in India by equipping teachers with advanced skills for 21st-century classrooms. The launch event was held in New Delhi, Delhi.
- The app has been developed by the Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, based in New Delhi, Delhi.
- he TeacherApp offers over 260 hours of content, including videos, podcasts, webinars, and interactive learning tools. It also provides access to live expert sessions sharing practical strategies for effective classroom teaching.
- The TeacherApp offers 900 hours of materials, including lesson plans, teaching videos, project-based activities, worksheets, and question banks. It is accessible on Web, iOS, and Android platforms, featuring innovative formats such as thematic fests, quizzes, and competitions to engage teachers and support their professional growth. Additionally, it fosters community building by highlighting impactful teacher stories and encouraging collaboration among educators.
Main Point :- (i) The theme of the event was "Elevating Teachers, Elevating India," emphasizing the importance of empowering educators with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to meet the evolving demands of modern education.
(ii) The event was graced by key dignitaries, including Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, and Mamta Saikia, Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of Bharti Airtel Foundation. Principals, teachers, and B.Ed. students also attended the event.
(iii) Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the TeacherApp's alignment with NEP 2020, emphasizing teachers' role in shaping India's future, while Rakesh Bharti Mittal stated that the app will provide teachers with world-class resources to enhance learning experiences.
