Preeti Lobana Named Google India's New Country Manager and Vice President .

Appointment

In December 2024, Google, the largest subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., appointed Preeti Lobana as the new Country Manager and Vice President (VP) for India. She replaces Roma Datta Chobey, who served as the interim head, and succeeds Sanjay Gupta, who transitioned to the role of President of Google for the Asia-Pacific region.


      - Prior to this role, Preeti Lobana served as the VP of gTech (Google Technical Services) Process, Partner, Publisher Operations, and Ads Content & Quality Operations.

     

     

Main Point :-   (i) Preeti Lobana will lead Google's strategy in India, with a focus on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive innovation and digital transformation.

      (ii) She has been with Google for 8 years and has also held leadership roles at NatWest Group and American Express Company.
