"TDB-DST Extends Support to Agnikul Cosmos to Strengthen India's Space Ecosystem".

The Ministry of Science & Technology has extended its support to Agnikul Cosmos Pvt. Ltd, based in Chennai, to develop and commercialize "Agnibaan," a customizable two-stage launch vehicle. This vehicle can carry payloads of up to 300 kg to orbits at an altitude of 700 km.


      - The initiative is supported by the Technology Development Board (TDB), a statutory body under the Department of Science & Technology (DST).

      - TDB has provided financial assistance for the "Development and Commercialization of a Modular Configurable Launch Vehicle for 100 Kg Payload."

     

Main Point :-   (i) Key People: Rajesh Kumar Pathak (Secretary, TDB), and Srinath Ravichandran and Syed Peer Mohamed Shah Khadri (Founders of Agnikul Cosmos).

      (ii) Agnikul Cosmos has achieved a historic milestone with the successful maiden launch of AgnibaanSOrTeD, the world’s first flight using a single-piece 3D-printed rocket engine.
