MOU Signed Between IEPFA and ACCA to Boost Financial Literacy in India

The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in New Delhi to enhance financial literacy, investor education, and protection across India. This agreement marked a significant step in promoting financial education among schoolchildren in both urban and rural sectors. Mrs. Anita Shah Akella, CEO of IEPFA and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and Helen Brand OBE, Chief Executive of ACCA, officiated the signing. The MOU includes the implementation of ACCA's Financial Literacy Programme, "Financial Education for You" (FEFY), a four-year course for students in grades 6 through 9. The program aims to develop sound financial decision-making skills among young minds. ACCA will provide the digital content free of cost, and its members will train school educators. Additionally, ACCA will organize seminars, workshops, and roundtables on financial education, investor protection, and capital market development.

Main Point :-   (i) ACCA will provide digital content and train educators.
