Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Ministry of Education (MoE), launched "The Teacher App", an innovative digital platform aimed at transforming education in India by equipping teachers with advanced skills for 21st-century classrooms. The launch event was held in New Delhi, Delhi.
- The app is developed by the Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of New Delhi, Delhi-based Bharti Enterprises.
- The Theme of the event is "Elevating Teachers, Elevating India." It highlights the importance of empowering educators with the skills, knowledge, and tools required to meet the evolving demands modern education.
Main Points:- (i) The Teacher App offers over 260 hours of content, including videos, podcasts, webinars, and interactive learning tools. It also provides access to live expert sessions that share practical strategies for effective classroom teaching.
(ii) A unique feature of the Teacher App is its teaching kits, which provide 900 hours of materials, including lesson plans, teaching videos, project-based activities, worksheets, and question banks.
(iii) The Teacher App is available on the Web, iPhone Operating System (iOS), and Android platforms, ensuring seamless access for educators across the country.
