Australian cricketer Matthew Wade announces retirement from international cricket.

Australian cricketer Matthew Wade (36-year-old) announced his retirement from international cricket and will become a wicketkeeping and fielding coach with the Australia national team for the Twenty20 (T20) series against Pakistan in November 2024.


      - Matthew Wade has played 36 Tests and scored 1,613 runs with four centuries, including a top score of 117 in the 2019 Ashes.

      - He has played 225 international matches for Australia across the three formats.

     

Main Points:-   (i) Matthew Wade played 97 ODIs, amassing 1,867 runs, and 92 T20Is with 1,202 runs.

      (ii) He played for Australia for 13 years and served as the T20 captain between December 2020 and February 2024.
