DRDO Successfully Tests Long-Range Land Attack Cruise Missile off Odisha Coast.

On 12th November 2024, The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted the first flight-test of the Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM), with a range of 1,000 kilometers(km), from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
- This is a new variant of the Nirbhay LRLACM with improved features. It was launched from a mobile articulated launcher.
- The LRLACM was developed by Bengaluru(Karnataka)-based Aeronautical Development Establishment(ADE) with contributions from other DRDO laboratories and other industries.
Main Points:- (i)On 11th November 2024, DRDO handed over the Authority Holding Sealed Particulars (AHSP) of P-7 Parachute System to the Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) by the Agra (Uttar Pradesh-UP) based Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE), a DRDO laboratory.
