India-Vietnam 5th Joint Military Exercise VINBAX-2024 Conducted in Haryana.

The 5th edition of the Vietnam-India Bilateral Army Exercise (VINBAX-2024) is being conducted at Ambala, Haryana and Chandimandir Military Station in Panchkula District of Haryana from Nov 4 to 23, 2024, marking a significant step in enhancing defense ties between India and Vietnam.


      - Aim of VINBAX-2024 is to strengthen joint military readiness, particularly in areas crucial to UN peacekeeping missions.

      - Troops will focus on engineering tasks and medical team deployment under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, involving Peacekeeping Ops.

      - VINBAX is an annual training exercise instituted in 2018, with the first edition held in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh (MP).

Main Points:-   (i) VINBAX-2024 is designed as an intense field training exercise, focusing on technical coordination and shared best practices.

      (ii) This year, VINBAX has expanded its scope, with participation from both the Army and Air Force of India and Vietnam for the first time, reflecting deeper commitment to bilateral cooperation.

(iii) It includes a 48-hour Validation Exercise, featuring a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) demonstration and equipment exhibition.
