  • (i) The theme for WTPD 2024 is "Homes Start with Planning"
  • (ii) WTPD was initially proposed in 1949 by Late Prof. Carlos Maria della Paolera of the Univ. of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
  • (iii) In India, WTPD is organized by the New Delhi-based Institute of Town Planners India (established in 1951).
