RBI approves Pranav Chawda as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JP Morgan Chase Bank India.

RBI has approved Pranav Chawda’s appointment as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JP Morgan Chase & Co's domestic banking unit, JP Morgan India, for a three-year term.


      - He succeeds Prabhdev Singh, who resigned in June 2024, prior to completing his tenure.

      - In this role, Chawda will also oversee the corporate banking division, aligning with the bank's strategy to integrate its commercial and corporate banking services.

     

Main Points:-   (i) Chawda joined JP Morgan in 2019 as the head of client banking and specialized industries, focusing on midsized companies based in India.

      (ii) JP Morgan India’s centers in Mumbai (Maharashtra), Bengaluru (Karnataka), and Hyderabad (Telangana) offer global operational support.
