Dr. M.K. Ranjitsinh's New Book 'Mountain Mammals of the World' Launched in Delhi.

Author Dr. MK Ranjitsinh, a member of the royal family of Wankaaner in Saurashtra (Gujarat), has released his 4th book titled "Mountain Mammals of the World". The book is published by Penguin Random House.


      - The book serves as a definitive guide to larger mammals found on the mountains of the world, featuring 62 species and 78 subspecies, accompanied by spectacular photographs.

     

     

Main Points:-   (i) The book was launched by former politician-author and Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr. Karan Singh at the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in New Delhi.

      (ii) Jigme Jungney, a representative of spiritual leader Dalai Lama, and Ravi Singh, Secretary General and CEO of WWF-India, were present during the event.

(iii) Dr. MK Ranjitsinh, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, contributed to India’s Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972. He has served as Chairman of the Wildlife Trust of India and Regional Coordinator of the WWF Tiger Conservation Programme, among other roles, making him a leading authority on wildlife in India.
