- World Stroke Day was established during the World Stroke Congress in Vancouver, Canada, in 2004, and it is observed on October 29.
Main Points:- (i) The theme for WSD 2024, set by the World Stroke Organisation (WSO), is "#Greater Than Stroke active challenge."
(ii) The first World Stroke Day was observed on October 29, 2006.
