The United Nations (UN)'s Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week is observed annually worldwide from October 24th to 31st to raise awareness and celebrate the progress made towards Media and Information Literacy (MIL) for all.
- The observance of this week is coordinated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Main Points:- (i) 2024 marks the 13th edition of Global MIL Week.
(ii) The theme for Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2024 is "The New Digital Frontiers of Information: Media and Information Literacy for Public-Interest Information.
