National Ayurveda Day is observed annually across India to raise awareness about the importance of Ayurveda in the prevention and treatment of various health issues.


      - The day is celebrated on Dhanwantri Jayanti or Dhanteras, a festival dedicated to Dhanvantari, the Hindu god of Ayurveda. This festival typically falls on the 13th day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashwin, according to the Hindu calendar.

      - National Ayurveda Day 2024 will be observed on 29th October 2024, marking the 9th National Ayurveda Day.

     

Main Points:-   (i) The theme for National Ayurveda Day 2024 is "Ayurveda Innovations for Global Health."

      (ii) Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, inaugurated several projects worth over Rs 12,850 crore related to the health sector, underscoring India's commitment to promoting Ayurveda and accessible healthcare.
