India and Oman conducted the Naseem Al Bahr bilateral naval exercise off the coast of Goa.

The Indian Navy (IN) and the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) successfully conducted the 'Naseem Al Bahr' naval exercise off the coast of Goa from October 13 to 18, 2024. This Indo-Oman exercise improved cooperation and understanding of each other’s best practices.


      - 'Naseem Al Bahr' is also called "Sea Breeze."

     

     

Main Points:-   (i) (Note: The first IN-RNO exercise took place in 1993, making 2024 the 31st year of bilateral exercises between the two navies.)

      (ii) An integral helicopter from INS Trikand conducted cross-deck landings and vertical replenishment (VERTREP) with RNOV Al Seeb.

(iii) The Indian Navy's Dornier aircraft provided Over-the-Horizon Targeting (OTHT) data to the participating ships.
