KAP Sinha Appointed as New Chief Secretary of Punjab.

The government of Punjab has appointed KAP Sinha, a 1992-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, as the chief secretary of Punjab, replacing Anurag Verma. He becomes the 43rd chief secretary of Punjab.
- KAP Sinha will also hold additional charges as principal secretary of personnel, vigilance, and general administration.
Main Points:- (i) Prior to this role, KAP Sinha served as special chief secretary in the departments of revenue, rehabilitation and disaster management; agriculture and farmer welfare; horticulture; and soil and water conservation.
(ii) Anurag Verma, a 1993-batch IAS officer, served as the chief secretary of Punjab since 26th June 2023. He will now assume the roles previously held by KAP Sinha.
