Ahmedabad-based Adani Group and the USA-based Google have announced a partnership aimed at enhancing sustainability efforts and promoting the growth of clean energy in India.
- As part of this partnership, Adani will provide renewable energy from a new solar-wind hybrid project, which is part of the world's largest renewable energy plant located in Khavda, Gujarat.
- The project is set to commence commercial operations in 2025.
Main Points:- (i) This initiative aligns with Adani Group's strategy to decarbonize industries while focusing more on the merchant and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) segments.
(ii) This collaboration will enable Google to achieve its "24/7 carbon-free energy goal" by ensuring that its cloud services and operations in India are powered by sustainable energy.
