On 13th October 2024, the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP) for multi-modal connectivity marked three successful years of implementation, achieving significant milestones in transforming India's infrastructure.

  • - The plan was launched on 13th October 2021 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
  • - It is being implemented by the Logistics division of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I).

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) This initiative takes a "Whole-of-Government" approach, promoting integrated planning of multi-modal infrastructure through collaboration among various ministries. It was initiated with a budget of ₹100 lakh crore.
  • (ii) Currently, the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP) has involved 44 Central Ministries and 36 States/Union Territories (UTs), integrating a total of 1,614 data layers.
