World Habitat Day (WHD) is celebrated every year on the first Monday of October to reflect on the state of our living environments and to highlight everyone’s right to adequate shelter.

Main Points:-   (i) Theme for 2024 : The theme for WHD 2024 is "Engaging youth to create a better urban future."

      (ii) Global Ceremony Location : The global celebration for WHD 2024 took place in Mexico at the "Educational Cultural Center of the state of Querétaro."

(iii) WHD was first celebrated in 1986 with the theme "Shelter is My Right," and it was hosted by the city of Nairobi in Kenya.
