Sony Pictures has appointed Ravi Ahuja as the new CEO, while Tony Vinciquerra will be stepping down from his position.
Appointment
On October 1, 2024, Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation based in Tokyo, Japan, announced that Tony Vinciquerra will step down as Chairman and CEO of SPE on January 2, 2025.
- Vinciquerra will continue to serve as a non-executive Chairman in an advisory role until December 2025.
Main Points:- (i) Ravi Ahuja, who is currently the Chairman of Global Television Studios and the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SPE, will become the new President and CEO of SPE starting January 2, 2025.
(ii) Ahuja, based in Los Angeles, California, will report to Kenichiro Yoshida, the Chairman and CEO of Sony Group Corporation, and Hiroki Totoki, the President, COO, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sony Group Corporation.
