Sister Rosita Milesi and four women receive UNHCR's Nansen Refugee Award for their work with migrants.

Sister Rosita Milesi, a 79-year-old Brazilian nun, lawyer, and social worker, received the 2024 Nansen Refugee Award from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for her dedicated work in supporting the rights and dignity of refugees and migrants in Brazil for nearly 40 years.


      - The award ceremony took place on October 14, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland.

     

     

Main Points:-   The regional winners for the 2024 awards include Maimouna Ba (Africa region), Jin Davod (Europe region), Nada Fadol (Middle East and North Africa region), and Deepti Gurung (Asia-Pacific region).
