The 28th edition of the multinational maritime exercise MALABAR (2024) began off the coast of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, under the Eastern Naval Command. Taking place from October 8 to 18, 2024, the exercise involved participation from the Indian Navy, the United States Navy, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the Royal Australian Navy.
