The RBI has approved Partha Pratim Sengupta as the next MD and CEO of Bandhan Bank.

On October 8, 2024, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved the appointment of Partha Pratim Sengupta as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bandhan Bank Limited.

  • - His tenure will be 3 years, starting from the date he assumes charge, which should be before November 10, 2024.
  • - Sengupta, who has four decades of experience in the banking industry, was groomed at SBI where he rose to the role of deputy managing director and chief credit officer. He took charge as the MD & CEO of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) in July 2020.
