Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched multiple schemes and laid the foundation for 500 km of new roads in Madhya Pradesh.

On October 8, 2024, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan participated in the Rural Self Employment Programme organized by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) in Bhairunda, Madhya Pradesh. He launched several schemes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), focused on improving rural infrastructure, employment, and housing across India.


      - He also laid the foundation stone for 500 kilometers of newly paved roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and introduced the Gram Sadak Survey and Planning tool.

     

     

Main Points:-   (i) During the event, he announced the Government of India’s approval for the establishment of five new Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) centers in Madhya Pradesh.

      (ii) He launched the Awas Sakhi mobile application for the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and introduced Community Managed Training Centres (CMTCs), with approximately 100 being rolled out across 18 states in the country.
