PM Modi has laid the foundation stone for development projects valued at ₹7,600 crore in Maharashtra.

On October 9, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually laid the foundation stone for development projects exceeding ₹7,600 crore in Maharashtra. He inaugurated the upgrade of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, with an estimated cost of ₹7,000 crore.


      - He inaugurated the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) of Maharashtra. VSK will provide students, teachers, and administrators with access to crucial academic and administrative data through live chatbots such as Smart Upasthiti, Swadhyay among others.

     

     

Main Points:-   (i) Additionally, he laid the foundation for a new integrated terminal building at Shirdi Airport, costing over ₹645 crore.

      (ii) The projects also include the operationalization of 10 government medical colleges across Maharashtra.

(iii) The PM inaugurated the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai, established through a public-private partnership between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Government of India.
