On October 3, 2024, Union Minister Piyush Goyal from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) and Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, co-chaired the 6th consecutive India-U.S. Commercial Dialogue at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
- Piyush Goyal visited the U.S. from September 30 to October 3, 2024, at the invitation of Gina Raimondo.
Main Points:- (i) Shri Goyal and Secretary Raimondo will talk about improving critical minerals supply chains between India and the USA, aiming to sign a MoU for better collaboration.
(ii) Minister Goyal will meet USTR (United States Trade Representative) Ambassador Katherine Tai in Washington, DC, to discuss enhancing bilateral trade.
