Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a one-day visit to Washim and Thane in Maharashtra on October 5, 2024. He launched several initiatives worth about ₹23,300 crore in agriculture and animal husbandry sectors in Washim, Maharashtra and also inaugurated over 7,500 projects worth over ₹1,920 crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
