PM Modi's One-Day Visit to Maharashtra Launches Initiatives Worth ₹23,300 Crore in Washim and ₹32,800 Crore in Thane.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a one-day visit to Washim and Thane in Maharashtra on October 5, 2024. He launched several initiatives worth about ₹23,300 crore in agriculture and animal husbandry sectors in Washim, Maharashtra and also inaugurated over 7,500 projects worth over ₹1,920 crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
- In Thane, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several initiatives exceeding ₹32,800 crore, aimed primarily at enhancing urban mobility in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
Main Points:- (i) PM Modi took part in the Abhijat Marathi language program held in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
(ii) While addressing the event, he informed that the Marathi language has officially been granted the status of a classical language by the Government of India (Gol).
