AGEL and AESL Join Utilities for Net Zero Alliance (UNEZA) to Support India's Decarbonisation Efforts.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) and Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) on Tuesday announced their joining of the Utility Net Zero Alliance (UNEZA). The move will help the country promote the use of renewable energy and achieve the net zero target.


      - Both companies are committed to achieving net zero by 2050, aligning with India's broader energy transition goals.

      - UNEZA, established under the UAE Declaration at COP28, promotes renewable energy grids, clean solutions and electricity efforts.

     

Main Points:-   (i) AGEL aims for 10% of India's non-fossil energy and 50 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.

      (ii) AESL aims to enhance grid reliability and reduce direct emissions by 72.7% by 2030.
