MoPSW Sarbananda Sonowal Launches Cruise Bharat Mission.

Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) Sarbananda Sonowal launched Cruise Bharat Mission from Mumbai Port to boost India's cruise tourism sector and position it globally.
* Cruise Bharat Mission(CBM) targets increasing cruise passengers from 4.6 lakh in 2024 to 50 lakh by 2027.
* Cruise Bharat Mission(CBM) aims to increase cruise sailings from 254 in 2024 to 500 by 2030 and 1,100 by 2047.
Main Points, River cruise passengers are expected to rise from 5 lakh in phase 1 to 50 lakh by phase 3.
Marinas are expected to grow from 1 to 5, with employment in the sector rising from 100,000 to 400,000 by the final phase.
