India has officially joined the International Big Cat Alliance(IBCA), a global initiative aimed at the conservation of big cats and their habitats. This alliance focuses on the protection of species such as tigers, leopards, lions, and cheetahs, which are critical to maintaining ecological balance. By becoming a member, India aims to strengthen its commitment to wildlife conservation and collaborate with other countries on best practices for big cat preservation. The initiative will also enhance efforts in combating poaching and habitat loss, ensuring a sustainable future for these majestic animals. India’s participation underscores its role as a leader in global wildlife protection.


      The alliance will facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among countries to enhance big cat conservation strategies.

      India's involvement will attract international support and funding for big cat protection programs and habitat restoration efforts.
